Some workers from the Texas factory told The Information that verbal fights occur at the facility on a near-daily basis — and even some physical fights have taken place, they said. Some workers told the publication that employees were taking Adderall and sleeping at the factory in order to keep up with Elon Musk's deadlines. Musk has been known to run his companies with high intensity, sometimes calling for work sprints and even sleeping on the factory floor at Tesla. Ahead of the 2017 release of the Model 3, Musk famously pushed workers at Tesla's Fremont factory through "production hell." "Nothing is more important to us than the safety of our employees," A Tesla representative told Insider in 2018.

One process server used a jet-tracking to try to serve Elon Musk with the custody papers. AdvertisementAdvertisementA person hired by Grimes' legal team tracked Elon Musk's private jets for days in an attempt to serve him with custody papers, according to court documents obtained by Insider. In Grimes' latest filing, she documented numerous attempts to serve Musk with the custody papers. AdvertisementAdvertisementChristopher Melcher, a California family law attorney and partner at Walzer Melcher, told Insider that the use of jet tracking by the process server was unusual but not unreasonable. In her court papers, Grimes' team said a different process server who had handed her complaint to Musk's security at X was proof enough that she'd served the billionaire.

Elon Musk bought a horse farm in Texas near Tesla's Gigafactory, author Walter Isaacson wrote. The biographer said Musk envisioned a house that looked like "something fell out of space." The Wall Street Journal has reported Musk was building a glass house, but he has denied the reports. "He needs a place where his sole resides and that's what the horse farm will be for him." At the time, Musk denied living in the modular house, saying that he lives in a different small house in Texas.

Tesla is facing a federal probe over its mysterious "Project 42," The Wall Street Journal reported. The SEC is also investigating whether the project involved using company funds for CEO Elon Musk's personal benefit, the Journal said. The project is internally believed to involve building a glass house for Musk, the Journal previously reported. It can be illegal to use company funds for personal expenses — especially when dealing with a publicly traded company. It's not clear if the building project is still in the works, or whether the glass order was ever delivered, the Journal reported on Wednesday.

A majority of Model 3 owners planning to buy a Tesla in the next two years would consider a Cybertruck, according to a Bloomberg Survey. Tesla manufactured its first Cybertruck earlier this month, though it hasn't announced an official price. Tesla's long-awaited Cybertruck has yet to hit the road, but Tesla owners are sold on its potential. A majority — 51.8% — of those who said they'd want to buy a Tesla said they would be most interested in a Cybertruck. The survey polled 5,000 owners of Tesla Model 3s, the company's first mass-market vehicle that was released in 2017.

It looks like frunk in the Ford F-150 Lightning, one of the Cybertruck's closest rivals, is way bigger. The Ford F-150 Lightning looks like it has one big edge over Tesla's upcoming Cybertruck. Judging by an unverified photo posted online and first spotted by the EV news website Electrek, the Cybertruck's frunk looks rather tiny, which may disappoint potential buyers. When I drove the F-150 Lighting last year, the truck's frunk easily handled multiple backpacks and duffels that I didn't want sliding around in the bed. Tesla's Texas factory just built its first Cybertruck, and deliveries are set to begin later this year — two years behind schedule.

A Tesla project that led to an internal review could be a home for its CEO Elon Musk, WSJ reported. Tesla board members were involved in investigating the order, WSJ reported. An opaque project within Tesla dubbed "Project 42" might be getting some transparency — the endeavor is said to involve a glass house for Elon Musk, The Wall Street Journal reported. It's not clear if the building project is still in the works, or whether the glass order was ever delivered, the Journal reported. It's also not clear what role, if any, Afshar still holds at Tesla (though an email that Insider sent to his Tesla email account did not bounce back).

Capturing the mass market is critical to Tesla's goal of increasing deliveries 15-fold - to 20 million vehicles - by 2030. Musk could also describe plans to update the company's best-selling vehicles, after Reuters revealed its "Project Jupiter" plan to revamp its Model Y SUV. The Investor Day event will be webcast from Tesla's Texas factory and is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. EST (2100 GMT). Musk also is set to announce the company's "Master Plan 3" for a "sustainable energy future." It would be the company's first factory outside of the United States, Germany and China, and Musk is expected to provide more details on Wednesday.
Elon Musk has brought in Omead Afshar to help lead Starship production, Bloomberg reported. In July, Tesla was reportedly investigating Musk's righthand man after he authorized the purchase of construction materials that the system flagged as items that could be for Elon Musk's personal use. At the time, Tesla had already terminated several employees as a result of the investigation and Bloomberg reported Afshar was likely to leave the company next. Though, David Searle — the legal chief that was reportedly investigating Afshar — left the company in August, Bloomberg reported. Do you work at Tesla, SpaceX, or have insight to share?
